One of The (Many) Reasons He Didn’t Get a Chance at a Second Date

But then again…dating can be likened to getting a job.

Let us say you are his dream company. He scores an interview with his impressive resume. There you have the first date. Sometimes, a second interview is required. If he blows you away, he gets hired on the spot. But because you, as a woman, are picky and unsure about the candidate, you first give him an internship. If you like how he has performed as an intern, you hire him on a part-time basis.

The whole while, you evaluate him for client-facing skills, time management, crisis management, quality of deliverables, punctuality, passion for the job, long-term goals, etc. Then, if he proves to be a worthy investment, you hire him full-time. Then he gets benefits. Maybe with health insurance. Maybe even dental.

Then he gets promoted. And if you realize he is The One, he gets job tenure.

But if he can’t even get past the first interview, then he is screwed. Like the cocky jock who tried to lay the (above cartoonified) line on me in real life.

Hold out for a good one, ladies! Happy dating!
